This is my with my bear, "Pepito"
Here is a little information about me. I absolutely adore painting and drawing, because it helps me release my anger when I am upset. I love to run around my backyard and play with my dog when I am happy. My dog's name is Daisy , and I love her with all my heart. She reminds me of the dogs that I've had in the past. Daisy is a Golden Retriever who loves to run around and chase sticks and balls. I like to play tag with her. She is very quick.
This is Daisy.
I also have two cats, one male and one female, named Jasper and Cali respectively. Jasper's nickname is "Jazzy." My cats are very playful and they never run out of energy. They really like to play at night and sometimes they make so much noise they wake me up.
Left = Jasper Right = Cali.
Besides going to school, I also play basketball, which is my favorite sport. I play on a girl's club team named Lights Out. There are different levels of teams from Elementary to High School. I have to practice twice a week and I have two games every week. When I score a basket, a big smile always spreads across my face. I also play the piano. I love my piano teacher because she is very kind and gentle. She always brings me little treats and goodies. Plus, she never ever gets angry at me, even if I haven't practiced as much as I should have.
Sincerely,
Alexandra

Dear Mom,
DeleteThank you for your comment! I am very proud of my new blog too. I knew my computer skills were good, but I didn't know that my computer skills were good enough to be complimented on. Dad and I are planning to put up a drawing or photo of the week. Here is how it works: I will paint (draw) several paintings (drawings) with Dad on his iPad or take pictures, then we will pick out the best one and finally we upload it on the blog.
What do you think of the idea?
Curiously,
Alexandra
Dear Alexandra,
ReplyDeleteI am so happy that you got a blog. I love your dads picture.
And all your cat's and dog are the cuties.
I can not wait till your next post.
Love,
Logan
Dear Alexandra,
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the wonderful world of blogging! You have worked so hard with your commenting skills, and your dedication is paying off now!
I can't stop looking at that photograph of Daisy! What a cutie! She has a sweet face just like Buck. He is a Labrador retriever and loves to chase sticks, balls, and even leaves! He seems quick too! Your cats are cute too, but I'm a real dog lover!
You mentioned that you like to paint and draw. I look forward to you sharing some of your artwork in future posts!
What kind of things do you paint?
Your proud teacher,
Mrs. Y♥llis
Dear Mrs. Yollis,
DeleteI am very excited to be introduced into the wonderful world of blogging. I am also a dog lover but I also a cat lover. Daisy also likes to chase balls, sticks and leaves. She is a sweet and loving Golden Retriever. I think that Daisy and Buck kind of look a like except that Daisy is a reddish color and Buck is a yellow color.
My dad and I like to paint the same things. He spends a lot of time teaching and encouraging me to draw. That is my father's favorite pass time.
Sincerely,
Alexandra
Dear Alexandra,
ReplyDeleteGreat job on your blog. Keep writing.
Mrs. Schack
Hello Alexandra and congratulations on your blog. You have told us so much about yourself and shared beautiful photos too. I love dogs (not so excited about cats) and think Daisy looks gorgeous and easy to love. Are you responsible for keepIng her coat shiny and knot free? I live and teach in Australia and love reading. I have a year 3 class and encourage all my students to read. Do you like reading? I love to play netball but do enjoy watching basketball. I look forward to reading more posts from you. Well done.
ReplyDeleteDear Mrs. B.,
DeleteThank you for leaving a spectacular comment on my blog! Daisy is a lovable dog because she is sweet, caring, and likes to have fun. For example, when I talk face to face with her she likes to put her arm on my arm. My two sisters and I are all responsible for keeping her coat shiny and knot free. I too greatly love to read. My favorite authors are Beverly Cleary and Roald Dahl. My family are hoping to visit Australia some day, and if we do I am hoping it will be a great experience.
Sincerely,
Alexandra
Dear Alexandra,
ReplyDeleteI never knew you got a blog. How I saw it was when I went to contributors to get to Mrs. Yollis blog, and I saw yours, so I went here instead.
I really love your picture that your dad made, so I'll do it too. I am allergic to cats, but I can still come to your house. Daisy is really cute. What kind of dog is she? My dog is a yellow lab. He's 4 years old and really big.
Your friend,
♥Ell♥e♥
Dear Ellie,
DeleteI think that you should paint a picture and put it on your blog too, because I think that it is creative, and I like to be creative. It is not your fault that you are allergic to cats, because lots of people that I know are also allergic to them. On the bright side, at least your not allergic to dogs. Daisy is a one year old dog (seven in dog years) and she is a Golden Retriever that love to chase cats, leaves, sticks, and people.
Sincerely,
Alexandra
What a great first post! I really enjoyed the pictures with your blog post; it really helped me to understand what you were talking about. The picture of Daisy is adorable! I also like the side items you included: the artwork and voki.
ReplyDeleteYou mentioned you play the piano. What types of music is your favorite to play?
Dear Mr. Anth,
DeleteI also enjoyed the artwork and the voki in my sidebar, infact I was so exited when I saw them. I wanted to brag about it to my sisters. My favorite song that I play on the piano is called the Entertainer.
Have you heard of the Entertainer?
Sincerely,
Alexandra

Your first post of you introducing yourself is so well written and I just love how you have included your animals too. I really love dogs and cats!
I just can't wait to see what your next post will be about. That is so wonderful that you play the piano, for my little girl played the piano for about 2 and half years but has decided to have a break. But every now and then she will jump on her piano and play a piece of music just for me.
Do you have a favourite piece of music which you love to play over and over?
Happy Blogging.
Sincerely,
AA
Dear AA,
DeleteI also love dogs and cats. I started playing piano at the age of five, so in total I have been playing it for four years. The piece of music that I play over and over again has to be the Entertainer.

Alexandra

Love your blog site Alexandra. Otto and I really enjoyed reading it and hope to hear more soon.
Thanks,

Hello Alexandra,
ReplyDeleteFor a first blog, I found your post to be excellent. You have introduced yourself and shared a little about yourself and important things in your life.
Pepito is an amazing bear. It looks like you could sit in his lap when you wanted.
Daisy is a beautiful golden retriever. I know they are a loving and protective breed. They make great family pets.
Jasper and Cali look as though they know how to be comfortable. Their faces show me they are alert and active cats to have around the house.
Basketball is a wonderful sport to play and with your piano lessons, I can tell you’re interested in music. Having a kind and gentle piano teacher is a wonderful gift as she will help you bring out your natural talent.
Like you, I enjoy art, particularly drawing. I also find it can be relaxing when the normal world seems a little hard. You can be lost in your creativeness. Now to your question…
What hobbies do I have?
Now that’s a simple question which I find hard to answer as I have many hobbies and interests. I’ve mentioned drawing but there are also photography, DVD and CD production, writing, drawing, blogging and commenting, bushwalking (hiking), geology, zoology, botany, going to the cinema, music, supporting young talent, and many others.
With so many interests, it is often hard to find the time to do everything yet many interests can be a big help when you visit blogs. I find I enjoy almost every topic someone might blog about.

Dear Alexandra,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
You have got a great start on your blog. I really like what you called it. How did you get the idea of Alexandra's Amazing Anthology. I got the name of my blog by watching TV. They just said the word planet, and then I got a light bulb in my head.
Sincerely,
